ironymaidena discussion of livejournal's revised TOS for userpics on Making Light. hell hath no fury like a mention of breastfeeding. (and gods forbid anyone's feelings get hurt by citing studies...some days i wish i could tell people to get a helmet.)
i'm not sure what to do here. the "rolling blackout" protest doesn't actually remove money from SixApart's coffers, and what do they care if free users drop? i thought the old TOS phrasing was solid, but i also respect a straight no-nipples rule if that's where they draw the line. then again, offensive language doesn't appear to be restricted. could i get away with a neo-nazi default icon? do i want to stop other people (no matter what i think of them)from having one?
