i've been working on this quilt sporadically for a little less than two years. it's definitely not the first project i've finished, but it's the first one i started. it all started so innocently, when C's friend's wife offered to use quilting to teach me to use a sewing machine. from the computer right now i can see at least four things that i've made in the other room, and
scarlettina can attest to my mildly obsessive fabric collecting.
today i made pillow covers, to take a break from hand finishing my laptop sleeve.
the next quilt top has been on hold since last year; i'll start in again on it shortly. it's throw-sized as well, and i would like to donate it to a charity auction. i'm not sure when it will be done, of course, but i'd like to start collecting suggestions of who has both a worthy cause and the right audience so that it might fetch some real money. (asian-themed patterned fabrics, mostly burgundy and other earth tones. contemporary feel.)

BTW, I stopped by In The Beginning (which I realize now I always thought was a maternity shop!) and got apron fabric. I think you'll dig it. Still need to pick up bias tape, which should be sometime today. Yay!
