odd week. full of reversals.
i finally saw Slumdog Millionaire tonight. it was okay. i'm wondering if i would have liked it better had i seen it without any hype or expectations. the best moment was when C and i had the identical thought near the very end, about an oncoming train. we looked at each other, knew it to be so, and had to choke back gales of laughter.
because of one of the reversals, i was able to rush home and watch episode 3 of Dollhouse. okay Joss, i get that you want us to know that society objectifies and abuses women. i will stick around through the magical episode 6, where supposedly the story kicks in. hope it's not about how society objectifies and abuses women. meanwhile, Eliza Dushku sure is pretty and i'm glad Fred is getting work.

scarlettina. i wanted to be with her and see her kitty Merlin, who is very ill. i took pictures of them together, and i fed Merlin bits of my dinner and sat with him curled against me on the couch. i thought we were probably saying goodbye, but word is today he was ready to fight for his life. send some good vibes his way. i haven't been able to have pets for years, so i enjoy my friends' as much as i can. Fred, Loki, Brandi, i miss you. but hopefully there will be Merlin for a good while longer.
