once a year i offer this public service announcement: where to get free testing for sexually transmitted diseases in King County.
there are also plenty of opportunities for free treatment here as well. University of Washington is a leader in herpes and HIV/AIDS research, and were developers of the Western Blot test.
in any case, your health (and birth control if you swing that way) is something that should be discussed before, not after. here's some help on how to handle it.
