tonight was the premiere of passionfruit fool on the Crow dessert menu. passionfruit, Grand Marnier, and real whipped cream, in a martini glass, with handmade toasted cocnut shavings on top, and three heartshaped sugar cookies on the side. smooth, delicate texture, and tart enough to thrill me.
why did we have dinner at Crow instead of the previous plan to see a movie? that's secret number two and not mine to reveal. i'll just say it's even more unreal than knowing i don't have to go back to PA, ever.
in other news, i have my tickets for DeVotchKa at the Crocodile. that's February 25. i'm not so arrogant as to presume the reader will appreciate them, but i suspect that no local would go wrong in joining us there. sample songs are available for free here and on iTunes. when they play live there is a theremin. they have been observed to cause C to dance.
