i was reading Sandman this morning, and i thought perhaps it was a little conceited to tie the ending of the series to The Tempest and the death of Shakespeare. and then i started thinking about how many writers feel the need to make the poor guy a character, or quote him, or evoke the plots of his plays. and as a sort of sub-genre, i certainly enjoy them. all the same, i requested of C that he refrain.

and then i remembered that i was too late.

C and i had spent the day running, and were fueled only by a few snacks from Walgreens and the hospitality table, so we had to bail on mr_dorbin's birthday drink, which saddened us. we barely made it to home and bed.
