less is more
Jan. 15th, 2004 10:06 pmi just cut about eight inches off of my hair. and it's time to be a redhead again; i'll probably go with henna.
i find that hair changes are part of transitions for me. sometimes they're real, sometimes they're my solution to a rut. i think this is just to go with the reformed body. i can't keep most of my pants on. (and C loves it) i need some new clothes. and even though i'm a woman, i don't say that often.
i started this post and then i started IM with a good friend from high school that i haven't seen in two or three years. i really miss him. it's funny how some people just fit - and you find that you've been engaging in parallel activities. he still owns the that i played with at his house - as a straight-edge teenager. like me, he's dropped to his college weight on atkins.
we're both excited about and mixed about W's plans for the space program.
C and I have Carmen tix tomorrow, and i think this time we'll really dress up; mom sent me her last xmas party outfit because she thinks it should be worn to the opera. and it is fabulous. now we just have to see if we can find a way to keep C's suit from falling off. i must remember to take pictures.
Saturday is C's honorary birthday day, since we were in Harrisburg for the real day. he gets to do whatever he wants, which is apparently a ferry ride to Vashon or Bainbridge Island, and then i don't know what. i just know that he wants to spend it with me. sigh.
