i came back as a bag of groceries

saw They Might Be Giants thanks to hot tipper sgnp who i swear i saw in the beer garden, but it seemed really weird to approach him, even though i want to know if he got his shoes. C and i got our tickets and found out later that LJ user unknown and scifigal would be there. we were right near the stage...i admit that i am really old school and never entirely approved of the band. but Dan Miller is one talented guy, and while i think EMP is a huge waste of space, Sky Church is a wonderful venue and the house rig is incredible.
they played The Guitar so C went home happy. i was looking for Ana Ng or maybe even Hotel Detective or *gasp* For Science and it was not to be. i did get to hear them all do the opening riff of Barracuda though, and that amused me. i think many in the crowd were too young to have any idea what they were doing. sigh.

we had crustless quiche for lunch today and it rocked, as did my discovery of Diet Hansen's soda.
