(via hottipper weezlgrrrl) Blizzard says that advertising that your WoW guild as GLBT-friendly violates their TOS. that's "friendly," not exclusive. well, i suppose that's easier than penalizing players for the way they use "gay" or "fag."

That is wrong, wrong and double extra stupid. I know for a fact there are religious guilds and folks going around prosletizing in WoW (and EQII and CoH and ...).

If the fags have to shut up so do they, and so does everyone. They should just make it so you can only use their canned dialoge then everything will be good and everyone will be happy and gay happy

Yes, I'm not saying their canned dialog is good or respectful - just that if they want to control what people say to that they don't incite others to ridicule them then they can do that through the canned dialogue.

Of course that would be stupid and no one would like it - I was trying to be satirical/ridiculous.
