ironymaidenhow do i know that i feel rested and happy? because i have my third pie in the oven, and the crockpot is loaded for tomorrow in the fridge.
pie number three is squash pie, for which i made the filling from scratch. (acorn, carnival, and delicata) i wasn't so mad as to make the pastry, i had C snag that for me at the grocery store.
this is the most industrious i've been over the New Year holiday, unless you count watching the entire BSG Season 1 box set.
i've tried to write a year in review post several times, but i've determined that it's pointless. no more regrets, just doing it right this time and lots of lovely baths.*
i look forward to more of all the good things and less of the angsty. i hope that happens for all of us.
*i went to LUSH to spend my birthday money and discovered their promotion was to give away an xmas gift box for every $45 spent. the story is kind of elaborate (involving an overcharge and hassle-free refund), but i meant to spend $100, and ended up with a net expenditure of about $80 and three gift sets. that's a lot of bath stuff, even from them. i never would have bought the Eggsnog on its own, but it turns out to have aphrodisiac qualities.
