We're into the back half of season 1 of B5, and I've gotta say that it's much better than I remembered (in that most folks consider it the weakest). there are so many nice details, and of course all the great lines.

the remaster is nice. the makeup and costumes hold up to the higher resolution and the CG space scenes are good enough.

because of the title of your post, now i'm wondering if anyone's ever filked this to talk about the first season of the show....

I have only watched B5 once, and gave up early in S5... but I remember liking S1 far more than I'd expected based on how dire people kept telling me it was.

(You didn't ask but mostly my opinion on B5 is that it is a Hot Mess, and I have a lot of respect for what it was trying to do.)

(I should go back and at least watch Neil Gaiman's S5 episode and the finale.)
