i know many people (for good reason) dislike the shenanigans that happen today. but i always look forward to the event in r/AskHistorians, the best (aka very tightly regulated and informative) subreddit.

this year, they're doing an AITA (am i the asshole) format:
AITA for accidentally putting a hit out on my best friend, imprisoning my wife, and not giving my sons every little thing they want?
