It's official, I'm going to a conference in Las Vegas. I've never been there more than to change planes.
Suggestions on stuff to do that is not gambling or in a place where people are smoking? Or anti-suggestions? If I take my DSLR and do a photo walk will it make me a target? Anyone use the tram?

Here's a post a friend of mine wrote a few years ago! She says it's still accurate.

The thing I most enjoyed about Vegas were the shows. Particularly Cirque de Soleil.

This is exactly what I was coming to suggest.

I also once went to a brunch buffet that had bottomless mimosas. I wish I could remember the hotel....

Same, but see La Reve if you can! Even better than Cirque.

Also the neon sign graveyard/museum. And any major mall will have exquisite window shopping.

I don't think I've ever been targeted in Vegas for anything other than people trying to give me fliers about their shows. Lots of people have cameras, you're probably fine.

I was curious about the post linked because I just came back from Vegas, and I'm also not a fan of the place. It amused me because I did exactly that by going to get a meal from the Walgreens attached to the hotel, and spent a good part of the trip just hanging out in my room watching TV since I'd brought my Roku with me.

I did take note of the Aria and Bellagio bakeries. There was nothing like that where I was and I would love a real croissant (would take home a bag too). I've been to one of the Cirque shows in the past.
