it's a blue & white g3 (which replaced the iMac that you helped to limp on previously), and the reason i have it is that the hard drive contains Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. each time i consider replacing parts, i then consider that the whole thing is worth maybe $50. i thought it might be nice to have Tiger on it; it just means that the shareware/freeware/open source folks are starting to cease Panther support, so no more software upgrades of many kinds. so far, it still surfs the internet and retouches photos just fine.
it's time to replace it, but i'm holding out for my imaginary ideal computer, a multitouch slate with the docking system that they patented a while ago. i have already made C promise that if they announce such a thing this month that he will not let me buy it until they've done at least one revision. (C's first-evar white iBook was not a perfect experience, and i don't want to get screwed like the iPhone early adopters...)
