to date, the romantic comedies i've been able to watch without hideous reaction are:
harold and maude
l.a. story
the tall guy
that's all that comes to mind, but of those, i'm not even sure of the second or third any more. of course, some will assert that h&m isn't a romantic comedy, in which case i may well be doomed :-)

coming-of-age, otoh, i can likely handle
