I think I was last here in 1991. The inside appears to be unchanged, as is the pumpkin pie ice cream.

SO GOOD. It's got a nice hit of nutmeg, and their freeze is relatively soft because they do add-ins like Mix.

Re: pumpkin pie in England, I still gag a little bit when I think about someone making peanut butter pumpkin pie on GBBO.

I made 5 pumpkin pies this year for Christmas events because you can't get them here unless you special order them from specialty bakeries. I ate about half of them by myself. In group numbers that would have taken 2 pies to satiate back home, I could barely get people to eat half of a pie. They keep telling me that pumpkin as a sweet is alien to the English palette. I'll keep trying... I want my pie!

Peanut butter pumpkin pie sounds nasty... although I hate peanut butter, so I'm already biased.

IIRC the challenge was "an American-style pie" and so this one contestant apparently put the two foods that screamed "American" to her together eyeroll
